Biden Administration to Ease Entry Restrictions for Vaccinated Travelers

Beginning November 8, 2021, the Biden Administration will ease entry restrictions to the US for people vaccinated against COVID-19, doing away with a patchwork system of specific country bans. Air travelers will be required to show proof of vaccination and a negative COVID-19 test from within the previous three days. Land borders with Mexico and Canada will also be reopened to those with proof of vaccination, with no testing requirement. However, as confirmed by the CDC, only vaccines approval by the FDA or listed for emergency use by the World Health Organization will be accepted for air travel. The CDC is expected to release full details in the coming days on how this policy will be implemented, including what vaccination proof will be accepted and the age cut-off for vaccine exemptions for children.
