USCIS Extends Flexibility for Responding to Agency Requests

On September 24, 2021, US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) once again extended the flexibilities it announced on March 30, 2020 in response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic for applicants responding to certain Requests for Evidence (RFEs), Notices of Intent to Deny (NOID)s, and similar USCIS notices. If the issuance date listed on the request, notice or decision is between March 1, 2020, and Jan. 15, 2022, inclusive, then USCIS will consider a response received within 60 calendar days after the response due date timely filed.
