USCIS Extends Green Card Validity Extension to 24 Months for I-90 Green Card Renewals

To make sure that lawful permanent residents do not experience gaps in proof of status as a result of extremely long processing times for I-90 renewal applications, US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced that effective September 26, 2022, it has automatically extended the validity of permanent resident cards (green cards) to 24 months (from 12 months) for lawful permanent residents who file Form I-90, Application to Replace Permanent Resident Card.
