March 2022 Visa Bulletin Posted

The US Department of State posted the March 2022 Visa Bulletin.

USCIS determined that, for March 2022, F2A applicants may file using the Final Action Dates chart. Applicants in all other family-sponsored preference categories must use the Dates for Filing chart. USCIS will not accept EB-5 adjustment of status applications based on the Regional Center Program. All other employment-based preference categories must use the Dates for Filing chart.

There is a very high number of employment-based visas available this fiscal year (October 2021 through September 2022) — especially in the EB-1 and EB-2 categories — because many numbers could not be used in 2020 and 2021 due to COVID-related closures and backlogs. USCIS is working with the Department of State to use all of these visa numbers so that they are not lost. USCIS encourages applicants who are eligible for multiple categories to consider applying under EB-1 or EB-2, or even to transfer from EB-3 to EB-2, if eligible.

The bulletin also includes notes on the diversity visa (DV) category including DV-2022 results, expiration of I5 and R5 visa categories, scheduled expiration of SR category, and more.
